Children’s Champions
Children fighting life-threatening illnesses, such as cancer, need champions in their corner. Enter George Leppin and his fellow employees at Cascade Steel. Inspired by the faces of children in need, George rallies not only his teammates, but members of his local Kiwanis Club, to join in the fight against childhood cancer. Many of their efforts are in support of Oregon Health & Science University’s Doernbecher Children’s Hospital and its cancer research program.
Doernbecher has a special place in the hearts of the employees of Cascade Steel. The McMinnville facility donated rebar used to construct the seven-story hillside hospital.
