Imagine brave soldiers from the Ft. Lewis (Washington) Striker Brigade headed to fight in the war in Iraq in High Mobility Vehicles (HMVs). But, what if those vehicles were not adequately equipped to protect the troops against insurgent attacks?
Schnitzer Steel employees in Tacoma couldn’t have been more proud to come to the aid of the soldiers. They donated steel to ensure the HMVs were well armored, better protecting the lives of these men and women as they serve our country overseas.
