Metals Recycling Business
§ Ability to drive various trucks 26,000 lbs and over on a daily basis.
§ Needs to be knowledgeable about completing all required logs and reports
§ Ability to perform the pre-trip inspections of the vehicle assigned to drive
§ Ability to communicate with customers in a professional manner
§ Knowledgeable about general safety practices of a CDL driver.
§ Be able to climb up on trucks to tie down loads
§ Take instruction from Dispatch in a timely and professional manner.
§ Experience in scrap yard preferred but not necessary.
§ Ability to carry out instructions provided in written, oral or diagrammatic form. Ability to speak and understand English at a basic level.
§ Current Commercial Driver’s License and current Department of Transportation physical certification.

Job requires ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Also as a part of regular work routine, be able to drive, stand and walk, with frequent lifting, guiding and/or carrying of light-weight materials or equipment. Ability to: twist upper body frequently, bend at waist, kneel, crouch and negotiate uneven surfaces; use hands repetitively for coordinated finger movements; communicate by speech and hearing in person at a basic English proficiency. Be able to conduct business with customers in a professional manner. Work may be performed in cramped or awkward positions. Occasional exposure to safety hazards, noise and temperature extremes. Work pressure, disturbances of work flow, and/or irregularities in work schedule are expected and occur on an intermittent basis.
